It is great for identifying many things.  Just test it out around your
house on things you need to identify. I agree that it probably won't
read text.  On a humorous side, a friend took her picture and it said
"woman with gray hair."  So don't take a picture of your self unless
you really want to hear the truth.  (smile)  It does take some
practice and I still make mistakes.  I pay for a monthly subscription
so I don't worry when I take two pictures when I only meant to take
one.  I think you get 20 free pictures and then you will get a prompt
to purchase.  There are different packages of pictures you can
purchase.
