To add to eileen's useful suggestion to use Dropbox or OneDrive one has to keep in mind that while the folders and files are available in those apps on your iPhone they don't actually are downloaded to your phone. This means you won't be able to access them unless you have a data connection. In Dropbox you can mark a file as Favourite and then it actually is physically downloaded to your device. I haven't checked if this is an option in OneDrive.
