So far, my very early first impressions of this new feature are quite positive. It's pretty cool. I get the benefit of the audiobook from audible but I can have access to the text too. :) I understand that it may seem redundant for some people but I think it's pretty cool. Of course, you have to buy the kindle book and the audible book. I tried it with the free book Black Beauty just to see how it worked.
I have not played with it much, so this is just my first impression and whether I personally use it a ton or not...well, I just think it's totally cool. :) I can see how this can be very helpful for a sighted struggling reader as well. :) Oh, just for clarification. Within the kindle app, if you have the kindle book and you own the audible book, you can now play that audible book within the Kindle app and the kindle book will stay on the correct page. You must have your kindle account and audible account linked to use the whisper sync and you must own both the kindle and audible book that will sync. I believe somewhere in the book descriptions it will tell you if the kindle and the audible book will do whisper sync.
