I used dropvox to record in classes. The recordings sound great on the iPhone, a bit quiet to me when imported back to a pc, but good again once I digitally upped the volume. I used goldwave, but I bet audacity can do the trick. At something like $1.99, this app is worth the price, assuming you have a dropbox account.
