Voice Dream Reader was originally designed for a sighted user, the programmer himself. My sighted wife is using it more and more because of the font settings, and occasionally using one of the high quality voices for listening. Also as someone else said, Audible and Kindle can be used together so you can choose to read or listen and the book will pick up whereever you left off whether you listened for several pages or read visually.
