Ok, at the risk of sounding like a wise guy and it is not my intent, when the keyboard no longer lets you type anything. The bluetooth rechargible keyboard I use can go for about 2 weeks before it needs to be charged back up. It only takes 3 hours from totally dead to fully charged so it's not like it's the end of the world. If I remember and I usually don't, I try to recharge it once a week.
