Hi Gerardo,

If you can't upgrade until next April I doubt you can even still get a 4S at
that time. In any case, the 4S is a nice phone, but it was released in
201This would mean that if you buy a 4S after the 6 is released, you will be
3 generations behind and as others already pointed out, you will be able to
install iOS 8 on the 4S, but almost certainly iOS 9 next year will not be
supported and even iOS 8 will have features which are not supported on the
4S.

My recommendation is that you try and save up for a 5S if you can't afford a
6 and by next April you should definitely be able to get a 5S for extremely
cheap and most likely for free on contract. OK, I should say at this point
that this is the case in the US and Canada. I don't know which country you
are from, but if I remember correctly it's one of the Caribbean islands,
isn't it? Therefore I have no idea what your carriers offer and how they
deal with contracts.
The 5S is the first 64 Bit processor phone and there is one iOS 8 feature
which is actually a Voiceover feature which is only available on a phone
with 64 Bit processor. That feature is the Alex voice for Voiceover.
Then of course the 5S has the fingerprint sensor and for me that was one of
the main reasons why I upgraded. Having to enter a 4-digit passcode is
something I was always too lazy to do, but I really like knowing that nobody
can get into my phone now should it be stolen. Besides that I think it's
faster to unlock your phone with the fingerprint then it is to unlock it
when there is no passcode at all and you have to tap the unlock button or
tap on the screen and do a 3-finger swipe.

Regards,
Sieghard

Subject: is 4S enough?

  HI guys
I'm several months until my IPhone 3GS plan expires, but I'm wanting to get
a head start on options; I went to the Iusacel carrier today, taking the
advantage that my Mom had to go to clarify some questions on her new phone,
and asked out of curiosity what the deals were. Again it's several months
until April, but I want to get a headstart, thus I found out that the 4s is
cheap according to my budget, but am a bit concerned, thus come to you more
experts than I, if I go with the 4S, how many years of updates will I have,
thus would I get all the use out of the Iphone? How about the 5? I ask
because maybe with the release of the IPhone6, prices might come down, being
able to afford the 5, or is my best bet to sacrifice and spend the money on
a 5S? thanks for info.
