Hi Steph I can't answer your first question. To get the iPad innnlandscape, turn thee iPad to landscape and shake the iPad til VO says landscape mode. This doesn't lock the iPad into the landscape mode. To lock the iPad in landscape, this can be found in settings.
Sgo to settings, swipe down to iTunes and app store, after tapping to open, just enter your iTunes login and password in the approperate fields.
