I knew it was in a different place than when I first got my IPhone over 2 years ago. Back then it was on the second page of the App Switcher I believe! To get to it touch an item in the status bar like the time, battery level etc. then swipe up with 3 fingers from the bottom of the screen towards the top. Lock Orientation is on the very right in the top row which has the following items from left to right: Airplane Mode, WiFi, Bluetooth, Do Not Disturb and Lock Orientation. On the touch screen this is easy to find if you touch just below the volume down button and then put your finger on the screen at that level.
