Hi Linda, I find notifications annoying too sometimes. Above your volume button to turn up your phone, you will find a button. You press it up and down. If you press the button down, the phone will say muted. When your phone is in the muted position, the phone will not verbally announce notifications. When you press the button up again the phone will say un-muted. HTH Connie Then you will be able to hear your notifications again.Sent from my iPhone
