Just out of curiocity, what caused your iPhone to go into DFU mode? Were you trying to jailbreak and are you sure it’s in DFU mode and not in recovery mode? Also, I believe Scott is correct in saying that you can restore from iTunes if your phone is in DFU mode. A manual restore using an IPSW file is of course not a problem, but I don’t think it’s necessary.
