Jen, the only success I have had in deleting my messages with facebook messenger is doing it on my computer. This is what made me delete the app and go back to the regular in box in the facebook app. Then, I too, got the message about having to use messenger. I am still unable to delete the messages on the phone. As far as sending voice messages, I haven't tried that yet. Sorry I am not more help. Maybe someone will have other suggestions and be able to help us both.
