Hi Eric,

Check when you are in Spotlight search if it says anything after the app
name. For example, if you are looking for the Mail app and you type Mail and
it says, as an example, "Mail, Utilities", then that means the mail app is
in a folder called utilities. If it doesn't say anything the app is just on
a home screen and not inside a folder.
You can also check just above the dock area or you can swipe once right from
the last app on your home screen, what it says there. If you hear something
like "Page 1 of 4, adjustable" then you know there are 4 home screens.

Oh, and if you do this black and white TV thing without remote I'd also
blindfold them on top of that!

Good luck,
Sieghard

I knew you were just kidding about whipping the kids with the power cable. I
just purchased a new one of those, and do you know how expensive they are?
Of course, the fine for stripping a switch off a tree is probably more. Oh
well. Maybe I'll just make them watch an episode of black and white tv, with
no remote control, of course!

The odd thing is, I cannot find these apps anywhere on other screens or
inside folders. But, as I said, using spotlight search they will open.

I guess your Grandkids moved these apps out of the dock. Only way to get
them back is to find them on whatever home screen or in whatever folder they
now reside and to move them back to the dock. I'd also use the power cable
of the iPad to whip the kids (just joking of course).

Sieghard

My grandkids generally have access to my iPad mini. Just playing with it, I
realize none of my apps in the lower dock area show up. I can search for
them and they will open, but nothing shows below where it says page blank of
blank.

Suggestions how to restore those apps in that dock area.

All thanks.
