Flick left or right until you get to your phone number and then do a
double tap and hold until you hear the rising tones. Now when you lift
your finger, you'll hear the ding dong of the dialog box popping up. Now
you can flick left or right to move between the different options and
double tap on the add to contacts option.

If it recognises it as a phone number, you can tap on it and it will dial.
You can also cancel the call, so you can then go to phone, find the
more information button for the cancelled call, and indeed create a
contact from it. Might not be a shortcut as such, but this is what I do cos
it works!

Subject: Telephone number In A Text Message On The IPhone
Hi friends,
If I send myself a text message, asan email with a mobile number in
it, the IPhone reads the number when I scan with my finger and then
says something like phonenumber detected.
It seems to treat it as a link but I am not sure?
What is the easiest way to make a contact from the number itself, copy
and paiste it to the clipboard or is there a shortcut way to say use
this number to make a new contact?
