No, not a good idea to restore an iPhone backup to an iPod and something that is not recommended by Apple since the iPod has a lot less hardware capabilities than the iPhone, most notably it has none of the phone functions. But you are restoring a backup from one iPhone to another iPhone and even though that is a lower model it won't be a problem.
