Yes, but TalkATone requires a totally separate number and is a different
service all together. When they lost GV support back in May, I dropped the app
from my phone. It would be something even worth considering, but if you’ve
already have a GV number, it’s probably not worth the hasstle. Besides, GV is
very convenient with being able to forward texts and voicemails to your cell
number or email address.

Have you tried TalkATone since it was updated and can now make and receive
calls on its own?

Unlimited texting as well.

Devin,

One more thing, I trust that you are aware that as long as you do not initiate
a Google Voice Text message from your iPhone, you can reply from your iPHone's
native Messaging app and the recipient will see it as coming from your Google
Voice number.

So, here is the scenario:

1.

Someone sends you a text message addressed to your Google Voice telephone
number. The Message is forwarded to your iPhone which means it appears in your
Messaging app.

2.

Simply reply to the text message from within the iPHone's native app and the
recipient will receive it as though it came directly from your Google Voice
number.

Finally, you can use this exact same technique to call someone directly from
your iPhone, from within the Messaging app, and they will see the caller ID as
being from your Google Voice number.

Give it a try.

Mark
