Maybe you're thinking of the balance of the phone? Sometimes, if it is well
balanced, it seems lighter. If all of the weight were at the bottom, it
might seem to be heavier than it is.

I think the reason that the 6 feels lighter is the way it holds in the
hand. I find it more comfortable to use. I really wanted the better
battery life of the 6+ but really did not like its size.
