Do you make sure Quick Nav is turned off? My Logitech K811 doesn't type in edit fields, either, if quick nav is enabled. As soon as I turn it off by pressing the left and right arrow keys together it works just fine. I don't really use a bluetooth keyboard a lot and especially not for navigating around, but fortunately for me everything seems to work just fine except that you can't type with quick nav on. Who knows, maybe Apple thought this should be this way since quick nav by definition is for navigation.
