Hi Sharon and John, Now that there are interactive notifications removing and adding items is done from Notification Centre. Pull down with 3 fingers after touching the status bar to open the Notification Centre. At the bottom you will find an Edit button. Double tap it and now you will see the items in the Notification Centre and there is a Delete button to the left. After the items that are in Notification Centre are those which are not and also apps are listed which can be inserted into Notification Centre. 2 examples, if you have these apps installed, are Audible Stats and Dropbox. If you insert them you will be able to see your listening statistics in Notification Centre and you will be able to see a list of recently added and changed files for Dropbox.

Also I think you can remove the stocks by deleting all of them. I also did not find them under settings, notification center.
