Hi, Be careful of iTreadmil, It hasn't had an update in about 3 years.
I havn't tested it on iOS8 but on iOS7 it had isssues. You need to have the screen unlocked to use it, but you could turn on the screen blanking feature to prevent accedental taps. When this was enabled in iOS7 iTreadmill didn't work If you only want to know the amount of steps you have done in a day, Pacer works and unlike iTreadmil, it can run in the background. It doesn't give as much information as iTreadmil, but for basic step counting, it works and seems reasonably accurate. Cheers, Bret . .
