Hello Christopher, and list: First of all, I want to say thank you Christopher for the advice. I just went in and did that right now. However it is still showing that there is an update available when I go in to software update it's listing that everything is up-to-date with iOS 8.0. So I can assume that things are fine now. And that the notification on the main screen, will return to normal if I reboot my phone.
