Getting the files is not the problem, I have the 7.1.2 firmware file downloaded. But if you try to install it you have to do so via iTunes and as part of the process the installation will be verified with Apple's servers. At that point if they don't sign the firmware any more, the process would not be ablew to continue and I assume you would get a message telling you that you can no longer do what you are doing.
I guess there are ways around this, but I sure don't know them and they are probably beyond most of the people on this list who are interested in downgrading.
