There is no fix, at least not one that makes it so it was like before.
People have reported that installing a second virtual keyboard and switching
to it using the touch screen then switching back to the US English keyboard
helps. If you don't have a second keyboard installed, go to Settings,
General, Keyboard then tap on Add and select something like the Emoji
keyboard.
Now go to any edit field, at the bottom next to the "More Numbers" you will
have a button where you can toggle back and forth between the English
keyboard and Emoji keyboard. Do that at least once, e.g. switch to Emoji,
then back to English.

Now try your bluetooth keyboard and hopefully it will work. Remember that
you are in an Edit field and want to type text you have to turn Quick Nav
off otherwise it won't work.

Sieghard

Good advice Jen. But I can't even use space with the command and options to
activate something. It is really earitating conserding I use the key board
for a lot of things. The people at the Apple store don't even know how to
fix it.
