I guess you could try something like KNFB Reader, but if you aren't planning to use it often the $99 price tag might be a bit much. I would be careful with things like Camfind, Tap Tap See or Talking Goggles because while you might get back the information, that information might come from a webworker who then has also seen and potentially written down your card number. KNFB Reader does all processing on the phone.
Alternatively, and this is how I do this, just get somebody to tell you the card information and find a password protected program to write it down in. I use Roboform and it works great and I have access to it on all my devices for $20 a year. Of course Roboform is also a password manager, but it will do SafeNotes, Bookmarks and other stuff. After all, it's not like a credit card number changes all the time and while I do have my Visa and Mastercard numbers written down, I do know them by heart as well as expiry dates and card verification code. Subject: Question About scanning credit/devit cards Is there a way to scan a credit/debit card to get the information from it? My wife and I have a hard time identifying credit/debit cards to get such information as card numbers, expiration dates and ID codes when Sighted assistance is not available. I have tried a couple of scanning APS, but I am not having any luck. Any ideas? -- The following information is important for all members of the viphone list.
