Hi Brice,

Yes, you need to use a paper clip or the little tool which should come with
your iPhone to push down in the hole next to the SIM tray. This will pop it out
a bit and then you can pull it out.

The Nano SIM is very tiny and yes, it only goes in one way.

Also, when you pull out the tray, make sure you don';t turn it over otherwise
it won't go back in.

As for the card, it has one corner which is slightly cut off. This can be hard
to feel on a Nano SIM because it's so tiny. If you can feel it, the cut-off
corner goes towards the power button on the side of the phone or, if you are
facing the edge of the phone with the SIM tray, it will be to the right.
The cut-off corner also stays towards the edge or outside of the phone. In
other words, the side opposite to the cut-off corner goes in the phone first
just like you would slide a knife into its case point first.

Make sure you do this on a table or a surface where you can easily find the
card should you drop it.

Regards,
Siegard
.

Subject: Removing a SIM

Hi, everyone.

Is there anything I should be aware of when removing a SIM card from
one iPhone and transferring it to another? I’m getting a new unlocked
6 Plus tomorrow, and I’ll probably switch out the Nano SIM from my 5S
myself – something I’ve never done before. I understand that the Nano
SIM is much smaller than a regular SIM, and some online research has
shown that I’ll need to use a paper clip to help me get the SIM out.
Does the SIM have to be inserted into a phone a certain way?
Basically, I know this question may seem silly – but I’m wondering if
there’s anything else I should keep in mind or be aware of when doing
this tactically, as I won’t be able to really rely on pictures or
guides if I get stuck.

Thanks.
