Hi Richard, No. I have not had anyone try this app without voiceover enabled. I wanted first to make sure that it wasn't just something I was doing wrong or overlooking. I will try to write the developer and see if I get a response. Of course, I am not running iOS eight on this 5S. But I doubt that having iOS 8 would improve things. Mary
