I use an app called G-Clock for that. You can choose when and with what sound you wantit to strike and it has a nice ticking sound. The only problem is that if you make or receive a phone call or if you use Siri or dictation, it stops working and you have to close it in the app switcher and reopen it. You then have to make sure your sound of choice is selected in the options or it might change on you for no apparent reason. I wrote to the developers about this, but they haven't answered yet. The app cost 99 cents.
