Correct, the button has to be pressed once the phone is plugged into the
battery for charging to start. If you press the button twice quickly it
turns on the LED Flashlight.

I have a much smaller Ankor portable battery, but it also has a
single button. On mine itt powers up the battery's USB port and a
small LED lights up for a couple seconds. The USB port remains "hot"
for about 30 seconds, but powers down after that if nothing is plugged in.

make any sense to me.

Subject: Question about Anker Astro E4 13,000 MAH External Battery Pack

Hi all

I have a question regarding the Anker Astro E4 13,000 MAH External
Battery Pack.

On the unit there is a push button. What does this do? Does this
activate some kind of torch or something? Asking as when friend and list
member Hannah Day used it to charge her iPhone 4s, the battery must have
powered up automatically as the phone booted up. Also is it normal for
the unit to switch of when the phone is at 100%? If so then the button
is considered a waste for the blind.

Any answers greatly appreciated. Thanks!
