Hi Christine,

There is no work-around for this. If you are really concerned about people
hearing what numbers you touch/dial then using a headset is the only way how
you can prevent this at least the only way I know of. You can sort of
confuse the issue by sliding your ifngers around the keypad a bit so a lot
of different numbers are spoken and lift when you get to the one you want,
somebody would really have to concentrate to follow this.

Regards,

Sieghard

Subject: Privacy and Dialing

Hi All,

ON the iPhone, using VO, how do you dial a number or enter say your credit
card information without others hearing it? In other words, thanks to my use
of an iPod, I know how to enter numbers on the iPhone, what I do not know,
is how to do so without anyone hearing if you do not want to have a
Bluetooth headset or Bluetooth keyboard that you need to lug around with
you. Any info would be great. This is one of the things currently for me
that is keeping me from wanting to purchase an iPhone at the moment.

Have a wonderful weekend everyone!

Chris
