Apart from that optical image stabilization which you already know about the other 2 difference are screen size which I am sure you are aware of and the 6 Plus has much better battery life. That last fact might be very mportant for a blind person especially if you use GPS a lot and don't like using external batteries. Apart from that the 2 phones are the same and in my opinion the largest deciding factor why one person might pick a 6 and another a 6 Plus is the size which is exactly why Apple has made the 2 phones.
