Hi Craig, I just tried what you outlined and it does not work for me at all. I tried swiping to the Delete button as you described and I also tried a triple tap after locating the delete button by finding it with my finger. Each time the book just started playing, I had the normal playback screen with the cover art, the jump forward, play/paus and jump backward buttons etc. but nowhere did I find a prompt where I could delete the book.
Anyhow, I've gotten used to double tapping on the top delete button, then I double tap refresh, after that it's easy to locate the edit mode button on the left and the delete button on the right. Let's hope they get around fixing this. I sent another email today and also suggested they finally get around to implementing the scrub gesture for going back and also to take Voice Dream Reader as an example as to how elegantly and efficiently playback controls, book navigation and accessing the sleep timer can be.
