iPad Mini Retina 3 did not get a camera or processor upgrade. It appears to be exactly the same except that the new iPad Mini has touch Id. I could be wrong, but I believe there used to be a 32 Gig version of the iPads before just as with the iPhone and that now Apple has dropped the 32 Gig size and you can only get a 16, 64 and 128 Gb iPad. The good thing is that now a 64 Gb costs as much as a 32 Gb last year and in the case of the iPad 2 (the one from last year) it's actually $100 cheaper. Even the new iPad Air pricing has come down by $100 so a 64 Gb iPad Air 2 now with A8X chip, 8 MP camera and Touch Id is $600. Not bad and I bet there will be retailers where you might even get a slightly better deal or other incentive if you buy one and there is probably an even better chance to get a deal on one of last year's iPad Minis if retailers want to reduce stock..

Nothing but the latest iMac grabs me, and not sure something that big should be that thin in case I bend it in my pants pocket. Hi all, I just ran over to the Apple store website to compare the Mini 2 & 3. If I am reading things correctly, the only change is the addition of fingerprint security? For a minut, I thought the Mini 3 had upgraded wi-fi signals, but I’m not sure. They both say Wi‑Fi (802.11a/b/g/n); dual channel (2.4GHz and 5GHz) and MIMO. iPad2 says, Wi‑Fi (802.11a/b/g/n); dual channel (2.4GHz and 5GHz) and MIMO. Lol, that’s the same, correct? The iPad3 spacificly mentions 2 wi-fi antennas, where I cannot find those words for the 2nd Gen retina model. Anyway, what do you guys know about the differences in the 2 models?
