Or reset the phone by pressing the home and sleep button till the phone
reboots, you don't lose any settings.

You might try rebooting your phone by holding down the sleep/wake button on
the top until it says "slide to power off", wait for twenty seconds or so,
and then pressing and holding it again to turn it back on. Sometimes I find
this helps after installing an app with a lot of features.
