Steven, I'm not aware of any changes, but then I only have an IPhone 5 and not a 5s.

I seemed to have tapped the screen once, by accident while taking it out of my pocket and it appears to have answered the call, not sure if this is just co-insidence or not or was the focus on the answer button, it did say answer when I grabbed it in my pocket but absolutely sure that it was just one tap.
