I have tried all suggestions given as well as checking settings on my 4s and still cannot get songs or albums added manually. Check on the apple help site but those directions do not apply as they are drag and drop directions. The music app on the phone recognizes the correct library but using the keyboard on my windows 7 pc does not work for transferring music even though the option is there. Sorry to post this again but don't know what to do other than to call apple.
