When I used the iPhone 5 on AT&T, there were times when LTE crawled
and was very slow. At those times, when I noticed it, I went into
settings and turned LTE off. It seemed like I got faster speed when I
was on 4G. I haven't noticed any slow LTE signals on my iPhone 6, but
I also haven't been on LTE too much with wifi at both home and work.

Sorry to hear of your experience,
Wayne
