I have the iPhone5 with IOS 8.1 I would recommend it as the update has fixed
the voiceover problems that I was having with IOS 8.0.2 Voiceover no longer
randomly turns off on me any more.

That was a very negative statement. Yes, iOS 8.1 has a few lingering bugs,
but for me I can live with them. As others have stated on this list, whether
to upgrade or not depends on a person's comfort level and statements like
what Mario wrote down aren't constructive at all.
