I was going to ask this myself but I now have the answer thanks to this thread. Disappointed but can live with it as I use Ivona Amy as my voice for Voice Dream Reader. But I do have an observation. If it can use all of the built in iOS voices then I can't see a reason why Alex cannot be used. Just my £0.02 worth.
