Subject: RE: confused on how to put documents into an app using a pc running
iTunes 12

Hi Michael,

OK, hopefully I can explain this well. The way this works in iTunes 12 is that
by default you have Music, Movies and More on your main screen. I might be
missing something here, but I already customized this so I can’t remember if
there was anything else. Anyhow, tab to More and press enter, then arrow down
and you’ll find other things in a list view such as Audio Books, Books, Apps,
Podcasts etc.

When you get to Apps you could just press enter and then tab and you’ll find
your app updates and so on. If you want Apps to be a radio button like Music
and so on on the main screen, go to the very end of that list view where you
find “Edit”. Now tab until you find a button also called “Edit” and activate it.

Next tab and you’ll first go across a bunch of read only fields, then you will
hear checkboxes which are either checked or unchecked and after each checkbox
you hear the corresponding item, e.g. music, movies, TV shows, apps etc. Just
remember that you need to check the checkbox before the item, so if you want
Apps to be on your main screen, tab until you hear Apps, then Back tab once and
check that checkbox. When you have checked or unchecked all you want, tab until
you find the “Done” button and activate it.

I find it easiest to always start at the same point of reference and a very
convenient place for that is the search box in iTunes which you can always go
to by pressing Control+F.

>From the search box 2 tabs will put you on the Music radio button and any
>other items you checked will appear after that.

Also keep in mind that the shortcut keys for going directly to your various
libraries in iTunes 12 work even better than in iTunes 11. The shortcuts are
Control+Number keys in the number row from 1 to 0, they are as follows:

Control+1: Music

Control+2: Movies

Control+3: TV Shows

Control+4: Podcasts

Control+5: iTunes U

Control+6: Books

Control+7: Apps

Control+8: Tones

Control+9: Internet Radio, maybe this is iTunes Radio in countries where it’s
available, can’t say because it’s not available in Canada

Control+0: iTunes Store

As far as transferring books to Voice Dream, once you are in apps it should be
the same as before, tab to the file sharing area, select Voice Dream from the
list of available apps and go from there.

Good luck,

Sieghard

Subject: confused on how to put documents into an app using a pc running iTunes
12

Hi,

I can bring up my iPhone in iTunes 12, but the “apps” radio button doesn’t show
up. I don’t understand the screen that appears when I click the “more” button.

I need to get a file from my pc into Voice Dream reader. Has anyone created an
audio tutorial on how to do this with iTunes 12 and a pc?

If not, are there written instructions anywhere?

If not, I know this sort of thing can take time, but I’d really appreciate
clearly written instructions.

Thanks
