Hi Billy. If you set touch ID to unlock your phone, then yes this is normal. However, I think you can flick up with one finger for more options, and one option should be reply. If you double tap on that, it should give you an on-screen keyboard where you can send the message. If I'm wrong about all this, then you guys can correct me.
