This is not a VIPhone problem nor Outlook.
It’s a JAWS problem and I’ve seen this unstability both with JFW14 and JFW15
and Outlook 2013 and especially with certain HTML e-mails.
I have at last ditched JFW and I have not experienced this since moving to NVDA.
NVDA is a brilliant screen reader.

Can you give me some more information onto what is going on? I'm curious on
this problem. What computer are you using, what operating system, what version
of Microsoft office?

I too experienced Outlook crashing when opening the original message containing
iOS 8.1 in the subject field. And not only did Outlook Crash to the point I had
to turn off my computer by tapping the power button, but when restarting my
computer, my JAWS was no longer authorized and I had to go through the
authorization process again.
