Hi Lisa, If it is setup correctly then yes, anything in your various iTunes libraries should be available on the Apple TV whether it's music you added yourself or movies or pictures etc. But remember that your computer where iTunes is installed must be on and iTunes must be running/open. If you have a laptop and it is set to go to sleep after a certain time it won't work.
