Hi Rob,

You can backup your previous phone using iTunes or iCloud, then restore that
backup to the new phone. This will transfer more than just your Email account,
as it also includes settings, messages, app data, and so on. iTunes backups are
all or nothing; you cannot control what is backed up and what isn't. With
iCloud, you have a little bit more control in that on the older phone, you can
visit your iCloud settings and turn off certain data types from being backed up
(like data for a specific app).

As you noted in your previous message, when restoring from iCloud to a new
phone, the phone has to be erased. Therefore, Wi-Fi is something you'll have to
connect to again. With iTunes backups you don't need to worry about that.

Do you need step by step instructions for doing this? The other way to set up
your Email account on your new iPhone is simply to enter your Email address and
password into the settings for the mail app. If you open mail and have no Email
accounts set up, you'll be prompted to set an account up. Otherwise, you can
open the settings app, double-tap on "Mail, contacts and calendars", then
select the option to add an account. I see you are using Gmail. All the
settings apart from your Email address and password for popular accounts
including Gmail are entered for you automatically, so you don't even have to
look them up.

Hope this helps.

Grant

I'd still like to know how to import email accounts from an older 4S to my
newer 5S?

Thanks, RobH.
