Greetings all. Jessica, allow full access does not mean that you will
be able to type in your password in Fleksy, in fact this is one of the
big areas where Fleksy will not work. If you have to type your
password in, you will have to use the standard virtual keyboard. Allow
full access simply means, from what I understand, that you allow the
Fleksy keyboard to be used anywhere in iOS. I have gone through the
steps that Rick describes for using Fleksy but am not quite
comfortable with that keyboard to use it daily. For one thing, I would
like the Fleksy keyboard to be bigger to give me more typing space,
but am not sure how to make that happen. I will keep Fleksy on my
phone though so I can get the updates. I do believe that it will be
fully accessible/usable by the blind at some point, but when that is
is anyone's guess. I believe the company has the best of intentions,
but let's remember that they are trying to be a single keyboard for
all users. That is a hard concept to get right. Consider the saying
about pleasing everyone all of the time. Not saying it is impossible
for Fleksy to work, just saying it will take time for them to get
everything working the way they invisioned it working for everyone.
Finally, to Julian, I have used Fleksy VO to compose and copy messages
to my clipboard. I have on occasion used the Favorites button and have
not experienced the issue that you are having. I'm not sure what to
tell you. Perhaps a work around would be to use the copy and clear
button and then pasting the message you wrote to a text or iMessage,
instead of sending it to a favorite.
