Shawn, If you go to the bottom of the screen, the lower left button is New Game. When this is activated, you will be asked if you want a one player or two player game. Choose 1 player, and you will be playing against the computer. If you want to control the computer's playing ability, go into options, also on the bottom row of buttons on the main game screen. You can adjust it between aggressive, meek, random and one other that I don't recall at the moment.
