There are a ton of ear bud style as well as over the ear style headsets out there which have the Apple remote control. If the headset says it works with the iPhone it will most likely have the remote control. Anyhow, you got a pair of ear pods with your iPhone 5, why not use them for a while, they really are very nice for the $30 price which is what they cost if you buy them separately.
