Hi, Thanks. I have never had this happen. I guess I've been lucky. I never had that happen when I updated my phone from 7.1 to 8.1.1. I also didn't get the cannot connect to this iPhone message either. But, it's good to know that this is somewhat normal. Thanks for the hint about touching the screen in the other language. I am guessing that's what I did
