Probably, try it. I use the double tap and hold in music so there's no reason it shouldn't work in Downcast. Downcast offers you buttons to skip backward and forward by differing amounts, as well as a percentage slider to adjust by 10 percent increments. I haven't had a need to double tap and hold yet with the other options.
