Mine is an Amazon Basics keyboard, but it does this rather randomly, and
if I turn off phone and restart, it then works fine, but it's a major
inconvenience.

I am also finding that it's difficult to get into the edit field and
write a message. I didn't see this problem when first I upgraded
but, once I'd had the problem of getting into and writing in the
text fields, I then started to get double letters.
A quick fix on this one, please, Apple Tech!
Meantime, along with others, I'll just have to keep trying to clear
everything and reboot.
I am glad to have seen that information on list, partly because I am
assured that others are having the problem but also I learned of the
only work around for now.
