I took Sieghard's suggestion and completely flattened and recharged my iPhone battery three times. I then used the phone as normal, using the Mophie Juice Pack. When I decided to charge the battery on my phone, the battery gauge is now in sync with the number being reported before plugging in my charger. Thanks Sieghard; I thought it was an 8.11 bug, but my battery just needed to be calibrated.
